 I never thought I was a creative person, until recently.  When I made my first piece of jewelry, it was very exciting.  Even though it was a simple necklace, I was over the moon about it!  Pictured above is one of my first pieces.  I'm completely self taught so it's all trial and error but that's ok with me.  It's such a wonderful feeling when you master that new technique or finish a piece that hours ago was just an idea.

I've been trying to think outside the box recently.  Each time I see something interesting, like a feather or a unique stone, I wonder "What can I do with that?".  I have a little pile of neat things I've picked up in my daily travels or that friends have sent me.  My next adventure in jewelry will be working with hemp and incorporating those random fabulous found items.  I'm really excited about trying it out this evening.

So the event was fantastic and so much fun.  I loved it.  I ended up using Hoot Suite to schedule my tweets so I didn't have to be available all day.  Some of our friends got their first sales from the event too, yay!

I've added a larger size bag dispenser, that holds 16-20 regular plastic bags.  We have these in a fun cat theme and a playful puppy theme.  Pssst, keep an eye out for a 3rd size as well.

Gosh, things have been moving along at a rapid pace recently but I wanted to take a moment to announce an upcoming product.  Thanks to a good friend and a talented supplier who made the cavies, I will soon have cavy jewelry available.  I've already made 3 pieces but need the darn rain to stop so I can photograph them.


There are necklaces and bracelets, all made by me.  There are 2 cavy sizes and a few colors to choose from.  Each piece is totally unique and one of a kind. Just one more way to show your cavy pride!

I'm really excited to announce that Rock Bug has it's very own logo now.  I think it looks fabulous and really captures our essence.  After a few months of finding our voice and direction, I feel like our little boutique has really come together.

I've been making jewelry for a while, mainly to relax at the end of the day.  I realized pretty quickly that I was running out of space.  So rather than give up my therapeutic time, I decided to offer some pieces here.  Each piece is completely handmade by me.
