I do recommend wiping them down with a soft cloth after wearing, to help them keep their luster. Use special care in cleaning pearls. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or steamers. Imitation turquoise is made up of manmade materials such as glass, plastic, or ceramic. They're made to resemble the appearance of gemstones but do not duplicate the characteristic properties of natural gemstones.
